Alex Counsell - off on his travels!

Our Senior Coach Alex is bidding WSC farewell at the end of the summer season for some well earned rest and relaxation, to embark on his travels.

Alex has been with WSC for over 11 years and has coached at every level, gaining excellent experience and skills, progressing through to a Level 3 senior coach. In more recent years Alex has been the lead coach for our Pure Gold squad, alongside providing valuable organisational support for the club. Alex has unfailingly embraced all the responsibilities and commitment that is required of a senior club coach - galas, open meets, training camps, home and abroad, and everything in between -  you name it, he has done it! His support, help and expertise, along with the rest of the coaching team, particularly during the testing time of the pandemic cannot be underestimated and was much appreciated by us all. Although Alex’s skilled, calm and supportive coaching style will be hugely missed by his squad, colleagues, parents and WSC committee alike, we wish him Bon voyage, and the very best on his new adventures.
