VACANCIES FOR LEVEL 2 SWIMMING TEACHERS

Woking Swimming Club run over 60 weekly ‘learn to swim lessons’ for children from 3 years old, catering for all abilities in small groups and led by fully qualified teachers.

Swimming lessons take place at Goldsworth Primary School on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 5pm and 7pm, Friday evenings between 5pm and 6pm and on Saturday mornings from 8am to 12 noon. Each class lasts for 25 minutes with the option to swim within a lesson once or twice a week.

Swimming lessons are also available at Horsell Junior School on Saturday mornings.

Our programme will run from January to March and the schedule is shown below.

There will be no swimming lessons over Half Term or on Bank Holidays.

Venue Guidelines

Goldsworth

  • Please use the main entrance (at the back of the Pool enclosure).
  • Children are to wait in waiting area inside pool enclosure where they will be collected by their appropriate teacher.
  • Changing rooms may be used - parental supervision required in changing rooms, toilets and showers.
  • There are separate changing rooms for male and female swimmers.
  • Children under 8yrs old who need parental assistance in the changing rooms, must use the changing room appropriate to the gender of their accompanying adult.
  • Parents must spectate from outside the pool enclosure and must remain on site for the duration of the lesson (weather permitting).
  • If parents need to leave the site for urgent reasons, please inform on site L2S staff.
  • Monday & Wednesday lessons will run from 5pm to 7pm.
  • Friday lessons will run from 5pm to 6pm.
  • Saturday lessons will run from 8am to 12 noon.

Horsell

  • Changing rooms may be used but only if a swimmer is able to change independently. Parents are not allowed in to assist.
  • Classes will run from 8am to 12 noon with no staggered start times.
  • Parents/carers are not allowed in the pool enclosure and are asked to leave site for the duration of the lesson.

My three year old had his first ever swimming lesson recently and I can’t believe how much he did!! Robbie is an amazing coach and really got the best out of the kids; firm but fun, made sure the kids really listened, safety first!!
