Arena League Round 3

Woking SC Webmaster

Round 3 of the National Arena League, Premier division for the South league was held at the Winchester Sport & LC on Saturday 9th December. This was the final round of the league and Woking Swimming Club was in the middle tier competing against teams ranked 7 to 12. This position means whilst we couldn't win the league we also couldn't get relegated so the objective was to finish as high as possible.

After busing it out there Woking was victorious, taking out the win by 25 points clear of the second-placed team, which means Woking finished 7th overall in our region. We led from start to finish highlighting a great all around team effort. Woking had a massive 20 1st place swims, 10 2nd places and 5 3rd places.

This continues to show an increase in the swimmers' competitiveness of the club and once again highlighted the great asset our Masters programme has become, lifting the overall standard the club has been setting at this level of competition.

Overall these three rounds have been great competition for us as a Club. The coaches would like to give our great appreciation to all staff and team managers who have helped out as well as the support shown by the White shirts who officiated at all three rounds.

Well done the swimmers, coaches and the club as a whole!
