2025 GoCardless swim England summer nationals

Following on from British champs, Woking SC swimmers race for the final time as we approach the end of the season.

 

Day 1 29/07

Alfie Davies (14-15) takes on the 400 free and clocked in at 4:20.82, dropping nearly 5 seconds off his pb and seeds in 3rd for the finals.

Darcey Arnold (14-15) takes on the 200 free and posted a time of 2:11.06, slightly off her pb but a season best, and seeds 4th for the finals.

Darcey also took on the 400IM and touched in at 5:26.76 which was off her pb.

 

Finals

Alfie takes gold in the 400 free, coming in at 4:16.0 another 4 second pb.

Darcey finished 4th in the 200 free clocking in at 2:09.70, which was a pb.

 

Day 2

Darcey in the 200 back clocked in at 2:32.72.

Sadie Warmington (18) swam the 50 fly in a 29.1 which was a pb and seeds 10th for the finals.

Alfie swam the 1500 free in a 17:15.00, dropping 9 seconds from his pb and finishing 4th

 

Finals

Sadie took on the 50 fly and finished 10th with a 29.0, another pb.

 

Day 3 

Alfie swam the 100 free and clocked in at 56.1, just outside his pb.

Alex Platt (15) swims the 50 free in a 27.4 and seeds first for the finals.

Alex Song (14-15) swam the 100 breast  in a 1:13.6 which was a pb.

Abby Whittaker (12-13) swam the 800 free and touched in at 9:56.9 which was just outside her pb.

 

Finals

Alex Platt swam the 50 free finals in a 27.36 which was a pb and finished with a bronze medal.

 

Day 4 

With some mixed swims, first was Takara Hasegawa York (14-15) swam the 200 breast coming in at 2:48.14 which was outside his pb.

Abby swam the 400 free in a 4:50.51 which was outside her pb.

Ryan Turner (14-15) swam the 100 fly in a 1:01.18 which was a slight pb and seeds him 8th into the finals.

Sadie swam the 100 backstroke in a 1:08.6 which was slightly off.

 

Finals

Ryan took on the 100 fly and swam it in a 1:00.8 which was a new pb and finished in 8th.

 

Day 5

Another session with some mixed swims, starting off we had Alex Platt in the 100 free swimming it in 1:01.9 which was quite a bit from her pb. 

Alex Song swam the 200IM in a 2:29.89 which was quite a bit off his time. 

Darcey took on the 200IM in a 2:35.16, and with this concludes her national programme.

Alfie took on the 50 free and clocked in at 25.73 putting him through to the finals at 9th place.

Gina Heyn for the open category swam the 50 breast and came in at 34.05 which puts her through to the final.

 

Finals

Alfie swam the 50 free in a 25.69 and finishes in 9th

Gina finishes 10th with a 34.3 in the 50 breast.

 

Day 6

Alfie started off with the 200 free and clocked in at 2:04.25 which was nearly 2 seconds off but goes into the finals.

Verity Larwood (14-15) takes on the 200 fly and touches in at 2:31.7 which was a slight pb for her.

Ryan swam the 50 fly and breaks 27 seconds, clocking in at 26.98 seeding in 4th for the finals.

 

Finals

Alfie swam the 200 free in a 2:03.76, faster than the morning swim but unfortunately not a pb.

Ryan took on the 50 fly in a 27.02, slightly slower than the morning swim and finishes in 6th place.

 

That concludes the 2025 GoCardless swim England Summer nationals with 9 final swims, 2 medals and several pb's. Well done to all the swimmers who took part and hope everyone enjoys their downtime.
