It is vital that the Membership Secretary and the Coaches/Teachers are kept informed about swimmers' medical conditions, allergies, injuries and medication. If you are not sure, please check that our information is up to date.

General rules and guidelines:

Inhalers must be with the swimmer on pool side
Epipens must be easily available in the swimmer's bag
Do not swim with ear ache
Do not swim with an upset stomach or if you feel sick
Do not swim if you are likely to infect others with an illness
Be sensible regarding wounds. You should not swim if a cut cannot be safely and securely covered or if a graze is likely to cause problems in the water
Do not train if you are taking antibiotics. Check with the Coach/Team Manager regarding galas in this situation
If you have a history of suffering from conditions such as fainting or nose bleeds we expect you to be accompanied at the pool during training sessions. You must liaise with the Coach if it involves pools other than Woking
The Coach/Teacher MUST be made aware if your knees, neck, shoulders or back hurt. Further investigation by a doctor may be likely if the problem persists

If in doubt, please ask!

The swimmers' health is of prime importance so please speak to us.
