News from Connor Lockwood and Hannah Russell at the British Para-Swimming International Meet
Connor headed to Sheffield again last week for the the British Para-Swimming International Meet – the highlight of the domestic para-swimming events calendar. The event is one of the largest open competitions for para-swimming and attracted teams from all over the world. As British Swimming enters a new Paralympic cycle, athletes will be took to the pool again for the title of British Champion. Races will took place over four days with heat sessions taking place in the morning and finals in the evening.
Woking swimmer, Connor Lockwood has some great swims throughout the week and his 14th birthday to celebrate too!
- A great PB for Connor in 50m free in a time of 30.05sec
- An even more stunning 3 sec PB in 200m free
Connor’s PB in 50m free swimming for Great Britain
- The 400m free saw Connor’s PB take him to a staggering 7th place world ranking in the official World Para Swimming Rankings for his S14 category in a time of 5:22.92.

Congratulations also to Woking Alumna, Hannah Russell, who once again demonstrated her dominance in her S12 category taking 2 Golds and 1 Silver throughout the week.
